In September 2017 British Longhairs were recognised within the GCCF as a separate breed and eligible for showing.

They are a lovely semi longhaired breed with manageable coats and no health issues associated with modern day Persians.

They also seem to come up a little bigger with big feet and have tremendous personality. Stunning kittens but even more beautiful adults.

GCCF SUPREME CAT SHOW 2022

well Dougie was just one of those special kittens that had to stay as my first longhair showcat.

With a little bit of trepidation about his show preparation the GCCF Supreme was his first outing.  It was a lovely competitive class of 6 beautiful longhaired babies he was one of the youngest but wowed the judge with his big round blue eyes and totally adorable nature he seemed to just love the attention ,

He was awarded Best of Breed longhair kitten I was absolutely thrilled at my first attempt at showing a longhair with lovely remarks on how clean and well presented he was (phew)
